Thanks for providing a very useful post.

One thing I found with this device was that the Sky router’s SSID needs to be broadcast in order for a connection to be made. SSID broadcasting is required even though you may have selected the SSID radio button on the TP-Link’s wireless settings page. NB by default, the Sky router does broadcast its SSID, so this comment has been made for those of you who like to change the default settings!

That’s a real shame. I went with Navigon for iPhone and never experienced any of those issues on my 3G or 3GS.

Well, it has since failed again and I have repaired it again. However, this time I will keep the PS3 vertically instead of horizontally to aid airflow. Lets see how long it lasts.

looks useful, on my mac I use an appleScript:
tell application “Safari”
set theURL to URL of front document
set tshell to “curl http://tinyurl.com/api-create.php?url=” & “‘” & theURL & “‘”
set the clipboard to (do shell script tshell)
end tell

and give it a keyboard cmd-alt-cntr-u with Fastscripts

Yeah, very smart move, opens it up to a massive market then. Suppose it’s good for the iPhone though, stop it getting so hot with constant GPS action
